Silence Michael Atkinson
Many of us are caught up in the noise and busyness of everyday life, rarely taking the time to unplug ourselves and switch off. This workshop will explore the value of doing so, focusing in particular on how mindfulness can help us to find the space and time for silence in our lives so that we can recharge ourselves, and maintain a better sense of personal well-being.
Michael Atkinson is Director of School of Mindfulness, and has practiced and taught mindfulness for over 17 years. Michael also works at Newcastle University, where he teaches on a Masters programme in medical education. He has completed mindfulness teacher training with Mindfulness CIC in Leicester, and is currently researching the relationship between mindfulness and resilience.
