This course is suitable both for complete beginners as well as those with more experience who might want to refresh their practice.

Sessions will cover practical and theoretical aspects of mindfulness and meditation, with an emphasis on encouraging participants to develop their own regular practice. And, of course, there will be plenty of time spent actually doing it!

This course is suitable both for complete beginners as well as those with more experience who might want to refresh their practice.

Sessions will cover practical and theoretical aspects of mindfulness and meditation, with an emphasis on encouraging participants to develop their own regular practice. And, of course, there will be plenty of time spent actually doing it!

Course Leader Nicholas Buxton is a founding partner of Just Meditation and the Newcastle Meditation Centre.

He has been practising meditation for over twenty years, and teaching it for more than ten, having studied within both Buddhist and Christian monastic traditions.

Nicholas is a priest in the Church of England, has a PhD in Buddhist Philosophy, and is the author of Tantalus and the Pelican: exploring monastic spirituality today (2009) and The Wilderness Within: meditation and modern life (2014). His latest book, appropriately titled ‘Just Meditation’ should be ready for publication next year.
